Very rare and hard to find watches from the 1940s Omega Marine Standard CK 3683 is the third and final version of the marine watch series, caliber R17.8. Reference CK 3683 - in this case, the rarest version of the Marine Standard is presented. The dial is visually slightly larger than the previous versions, beautiful case edges, in general, the design of this watch set the fashion for years to come. Engineers also improved the water resistance of this model with a special patented glass mount.
But the main highlight of this watch is the very rare hands with a native radium coating (we saw such hands only in pictures in advertising brochures of that time).
If we call them diving watches, the Nivada Grenchen Depthomatic Supercompressor from our neighboring offer will be very offended (they are on the same shelf, they can probably fight), so we will not call them that. Although officially these are the first diving watches released on a commercial basis in the world and by OMEGA in particular.
The watch looks great for its age, the original dial, stainless steel case and back cover have the usual signs of age. Manual winding mechanism with 15 stones cal R17.8.
They are really beautiful, for such watches we love Omega.
