Union Suiza – Founded in Barcelona, ​​​​Spain by the spouses Jaume Vendrell and Francisca Castellà. They first established a jewelery store and workshop for their own account. By the 1950s, the 5th generation of the family inaugurated the Vendrell Joyeros store in Madrid, in the Calle Gran Via – Fuencarral. It was a great period of success for the business, especially to Jewelry. The store became a reference icon for Madrid.

With more than six generation, the Union Suiza has dedicated to the distribution throughout the Spanish territory of the prestigious Swiss-made watch brands, also dedicated to retail sales with three stores, two in Barcelona and one in Madrid, located in the nerve centers of these cities. Plus, they are still mainstays in the sector.

Many watchmaker companies produced “Private Label” timepieces, IWC was not the exception. This time, International Watch Co. produced this stunning timepiece co-branded with Union Suiza.

PRESTINE and INMACULATE, this timepiece is a vintage double label International Watch Co. & Union Suiza wristwatch dated from 1933.

Powered by an original International Watch Co. manual wind movement caliber IWC 87 (bimetallic screw balance, Breguet hairspring), sub-second, 18,000 a/h.

Stunningly styled and also with Art Deco style, the elegant 22.5x30.8mm rectangle stepped case and solid lugs, all in stainless steel.

After +90 years, it still has the original two-tone silver dial (showing some aged) with Arabic Numerals, an inner circle for the minute track and the original blue steel hands. The sub-second is located at 6 o’clock position. The dial is double label International Watch Co. and Union Suisa names.

This watch is coming with a vintage brown leather two-piece strap.

It is still a very interesting watch! Not very common to find in this condition! It is in good condition! Runs very well, keeps great time.
